ABOUT US

We are passionate about our community

Here at Kismet, we are proud to be led by an incredible group of women. All three of our board members are successful business women and involved, committed community members. On top of that, they are all Globe natives who have a vested interest in seeing our community thrive.

Daisy Flores

Daisy Flores, our president and former national champion and US representative in the 2002 World Fencing Championships, has been in the field of criminal law for 27 years. After attending University of Arizona as a Flinn Scholar and receiving her BA and MA in Near Easter Studies and her Juris Doctor, she went on to become a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist in 2014. She currently actively appears in Graham, Greenlee and Gila County courtrooms defending the rights of adults and juveniles accused of all levels of offenses. When she is not surpassing expectations in the court room or at her law office, she is spending time with her husband Tim and sweet doggy Sancho at the Waggin' Vineyard and Estate that she co-owns. If you know Daisy, you can never be intimidated despite her amazing accomplishments because she also happens to be one of the most caring and gentle friends a person can have. It is not surprising that she heads-up a nonprofit and is working toward improving the community.

Sarah Alexander

Sarah was born and raised in the Globe area. She attended the University of Arizona where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She spent 11 years in public education and earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. Education was and continues to be her passion as she currently works with the Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center. In her role as a business analyst, she helps entrepreneurs bring their business ownership dreams to life and current business owners grow their business. The highlight of her work is instructing the DreamBuilder Program, a women focused business class. Sarah has co-owned Pretty Kind Boutique since 2020 with Erika Flores. Sarah is raising her teenage son Austin with her husband Travis in Globe, AZ. If you can't find them doing a workout at the local CrossFit gym or eating Mexican food at one of the many amazing restaurants around town, you'll probably find her busy with one of her multiple entrepenuerships. She is excited to improve the quality of life for the Globe-Miami community through the nonprofit work with the Kismet Foundation.

Erika is now in her "dream career" as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University, teaching future teachers. Erika's primary focus in her work at ASU is to provide equitable access and opportunities to higher education in rural communities. Erika is a childhood cancer survivor and awareness advocate. She is also extremely passionate about foster care and adoption. She is a small business owner and entrepreneur and enjoys assisting others in their small business ventures. Above all, Erika is a wife to JohnDaniel, and a mother to Raleigh. Being a founding member of the Kismet Foundation has provided alignment for so many of her passions in one place.
